The colour issue:
What was the influence of Goethe’s theory on colour phenomena’s representation?
In a colour-based interactive exhibition, there was the need to provide the historical context, both international and Chilean, of how the contemporary knowledge of colour we have today was developed during time. Additionally, the information had to allow users to navigate and interact with it.
My role: Thesist and researcher on Goethe’s theory
FONDECYT Regular Nº 1140587, Chile
Research on the recognition of the main theoretical keys of J.W.V. Goethe’s Theory of Colours (Zur Farbenlehre, 1810) essential for the subsequent configuration of a field of discussion around the phenomenon of colour, and the emergence of responses in schematic images (chromatic circles) by the recipients of his work. Main Researcher: Roberto Gustavo Rubio.
